Challenge

Onboarding Process is redundant and lack of focus:


The original onboarding was overly long and lacked research-driven design, leading to user disengagement. We aimed to identify key information needed for personalized matching and create an engaging, efficient experience that minimizes fatigue.
Need to design Core User Flows and Key Pages from the scratch:


The platform lacked defined user flows and major interface designs. Our task was to help the client clarify the platform’s core value for users and create a seamless experience that encourages paid subscriptions. This involved exploring different payment models and designing features to enhance user interactions, such as effortless matching and seamless session scheduling.
Brand Identity is unclear:


The original platform had an unclear brand identity, lacking cohesive elements such as colors, typography, and a consistent design system. We needed to define and implement a strong brand kit to reinforce the platform’s identity and enhance user trust.

Solution

We conducted user research to identify the essential information for onboarding, enabling us to redesign the process into a concise and engaging flow that supports personalized coach-client matching while minimizing user distraction. Simultaneously, we crafted intuitive core user flows and key pages to clarify the platform’s value, guiding users seamlessly from onboarding to session scheduling. By iteratively testing high-fidelity prototypes, we ensured the interface effectively highlighted the benefits of paid subscriptions. Additionally, we established a cohesive brand identity by creating a comprehensive brand kit, including colors, typography, and design guidelines, to strengthen the platform’s identity and enhance user trust. These combined efforts resulted in a streamlined, visually consistent, and user-friendly platform that drives engagement and business growth.

Initial research

To understand the client's business goals to ensure a balance between user experience and business needs when exploring user flows later on:

  • Review the survey questions and work with the client to determine the priority of which questions should be included in the onboarding process.

  • We conducted a comprehensive competitor analysis to identify what information they gather and the methods they use to collect it while matching coach and coachees.

Design and iteration

Steps to Define the New Content, Structure, and Experience:

  • Content Inventory:
We conducted a thorough content inventory to understand the current product and evaluate which content elements like questions in onboarding should be retained for the redesigned experience.

  • Information Architecture (IA):
We organized and structured the content to improve usability and make information easier to find, creating a more intuitive navigation system.

  • User Flows:
Ideal user flows were defined to guide users seamlessly through the redesigned website, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.

  • Branding:
We established a cohesive brand identity by defining key elements such as colors, typography, icons, and design components, ensuring a consistent and visually appealing experience.

  • Interactive High-Fidelity Prototypes:
We developed interactive high-fidelity prototypes to bring the new design to life, enabling thorough testing and ensuring the final experience met user needs.
